The visits were polished and with professional guides. Beautiful presentation halls. Impressive timelines of company growth.
But when I asked them what they remembered most, they didn’t talk about the showrooms. They talked about the factory in Shenzhen.

At a showroom visit, you watch videos. You see product timelines. You learn the company’s founding story. And you leave with a sense of admiration ,but not a sense of how things are made.
At a factory visit, you walk the production floor. You see the machines, the workers, and the actual movement of parts and materials. You watch a PCB being printed. You hold a component that was just assembled. You talk to an engineer who explains how the process works, not from a script, but from experience.
Why Showroom Visits Leave You With Questions
Showroom visits are designed to impress. They’re controlled environments. The lighting is perfect. The displays are clean. The guides are rehearsed.
But they don’t show you what happens after the product is designed. They don’t show you how the supply chain moves. They don’t show you the thousands of small decisions that happen inside a factory every day.
